Like many other women in history, the story of Mary Watts has been forgotten by many. It has often been overshadowed by her husband's artistic successes, despite the fact they worked as equals.
A collection of A3 prints were created to tell the forgotten story of Mary Watts and the terracotta chapel in 6 illustrated sections. Packaged in a decorative tube, they are designed to be kept to share, as a form of ‘book’ or displayed as pieces of artwork. This aims to spread the story of Watts' Artist Village to a wider audience. The colour scheme and illustration style take influence from Mary’s sketchbooks, eclectically bringing together elements of Mary's story.
